Brescia

May 1993 · May 1995

In 1993 Agostino Dessì took part in ArteSenza, the art festival in the old quarter of Brescia, with an exhibition and a course on papier-mâché mask making at the Atelier degli Artisti.

He designed and built the masks for the travelling show and the parade, and showed the students of the art schools how a mask is born. In 1995 a room of the Atelier degli Artisti was dedicated to his masks again.

From the programme

In 1993 the borders widen… Agostino Dessì, a Florentine maker of papier-mâché masks, designed and built the masks used in the travelling show and in the parade, and showed the art school students how a mask is born; the experience continued in the schools.
