Wednesday May 3 — The Cultural Center, Ziller Hall. Exhibition of Artistic Masks by Agostino Dessì entitled “The Art of the Mask”. Opening: Wednesday May 3, at 7 p.m. Duration: 3–15 May.

Agostino Dessì studied at the Academies of Fine Arts of Turin and Florence. A historian of the mask, he has worked in this field for twenty years, researching historical and experimental techniques. In 1980 he founded the Atelier “Alice”, of which he is the artistic director.
The papier-mâché masks of the Atelier are painted by hand and finished with gold or silver leaf. They are made for the Italian theatre (Commedia dell’Arte), for the Venice Carnival, for pantomime, for collectors and for decoration.
